The Self Elevating Shallow Water Jack-Up Drilling Unit design is mat-supported and provides a stable base for drilling of oil and gas exploration and production wells.
Four suction piles are located at corners of the mat to keep the unit from moving and maintain positioning during strong current flows and wave impacts. Six circular legs are connected to the mat structure and the hull can be elevated or lowered by means of a rack and pinion jacking system.
The unit can be configured to operate in up to 100 feet of water with a drilling depth up to 3000 meters.
